Developed with cellist Jacopo Ristori, this rosin, inspired by an historical recipe, gives your cello a full, clear and resonant sound, with plenty of articulation and a beautiful projection. A rosin that will transmit to the string even the slightest nuance from your bowing, even at extreme dynamics, without ever losing its quality.
This blend is ideal for cello on gut and steel, and also works wonderfully on the viola da gamba, especially the bass viol.
Double bass – Soft
The 050 Bass Soft rosin is a powerful, noble sounding rosin, for all playing situations. It is sticky enough to withstand any powerful orchestral/chamber situation, without ever getting gritty or noisy, which also makes it perfectly suitable for soloing.
Sound wise, it produces a powerful, focused and deep tone, with a pleasant dark note, yet not lacking any clarity and resonance, even with the most nuanced playing.
The rosin is packed in a 100% recyclable cardboard box, and is wrapped in a non-stick paper foil, which allows you to safely store it and apply it.
Double bass – Hard
This rosin, especially designed for chamber and solo playing, is also perfect for orchestral players who prefer a harder blend, and is ideal in warmer areas and seasons!
Tone wise, it retains the usual power and fullness you’re used to with 050 Rosin, with a pleasant added shimmer and increased clarity!
